Tael Morh is the ancient Miner name for dragons. Alice discovers that Agapogo, believed to be a giant water serpent, is actually one of the Tael Morh.
Arg-tael Morhan is a phrase in the ancient Miners' language meaning "Dragon must fly." When Alice speaks these words, Agapogo responds in a way that reveals his true nature.
Sanctuary is a secret tribal settlement in the Underworld where the Blind Chief resides. Hidden from outsiders, it preserves ancient artifacts, ancient traditions, and knowledge passed down through generations.
Lens is a high-energy informational package created by an unknown civilization and transmitted across interstellar space.
A Lens carries information capable of rewriting the biological structure of living organisms. Most creatures exposed to a Lens do not survive. They become violently aggressive, overestimate their own abilities, and ultimately destroy one another.
Only a tiny fraction survive the transformation. Those rare survivors emerge fundamentally changed, acquiring extraordinary intelligence or extraordinary abilities. Among the known survivors are Cricket and the Almighty.

Amba is a saber-toothed tiger who lives in the Light City deep within the Underworld.
At Agapogo's request, Amba secretly protects Alice, Bella, and Lola from dangerous and unwelcome inhabitants of the underground world, remaining hidden while watching over them.
Later, Amba becomes Alice's guide, leading her to the ancient Temple of the Miners, where a mysterious Dragon statue stands. There he tells her that the vanished Miners called dragons Tael Morh—a name that will prove far more important than it first appears.
Strong, intelligent, and completely loyal to Agapogo, Amba knows the hidden paths and forgotten places of the Underworld better than almost anyone.

Characters
Alice is the main protagonist of the Alice series. Curious, determined, and brave, she discovers the hidden world of the Underworld and becomes involved in events that change both her life and the lives of those around her.
Bella and Lola are Alice's beloved dogs and constant companions. Rarely leaving her side, they share every adventure, danger, and discovery. Brave and remarkably intelligent, they often act as Alice's protectors, warning her of danger and standing by her even in the darkest moments of her journey.
Cricket is an unusually intelligent cricket who gained his remarkable mind after encountering a mysterious Lens. As one of Alice's closest friends, he combines curiosity, wisdom, and courage, often helping her understand the mysteries of both the surface world and the Underworld.
Thomas is Alice's father. Kind, hardworking, and capable of fixing almost anything, he loves his daughter deeply and always tries to support her. Alice's disappearance leaves him heartbroken and determined to bring her home.
Annie is Alice's mother and one of the most complex characters in the Alice series. Although she falls under Matilda's influence and becomes involved in the witches' plans, her love for Alice never completely disappears. In time, she finds the strength to help Alice and her friends.
Matilda is one of the most powerful and dangerous witches in the Alice series. She is responsible for organizing the hunt for Alice that triggers many of the events in the story. Her plans are disrupted when Cricket warns Alice, giving her time to escape.
Shaman, whose tribal name is Listening Forest, is one of Alice's most trusted allies. Although many locals believe he possesses magical powers, he is simply a wise man with a deep understanding of nature, animals, and people. When Alice is forced to flee from home, he is the first to offer her protection and later helps arrange her journey to the Sanctuary.
Lone Bird is Shaman's sister and one of Alice's most trusted allies. Living in the isolated Enchanted Valley with her young companion Lisa, she has dedicated her life to preserving tribal history, artifacts, and traditions. When Shaman fears that Alice may be discovered, he sends her to Lone Bird for protection. Offering both shelter and guidance, Lone Bird becomes an important teacher and friend. It is through Lone Bird that Alice first learns many of the ancient tribal traditions and phrases that later prove important on her journey. She later joins Alice on the journey to the Underworld and the Sanctuary.
Lisa is a talented artist and one of Shaman's most trusted allies. Raised in the Enchanted Valley by Lone Bird, she studied art in Italy and became known for her paintings, many of which are displayed under different names in galleries and museums. Intelligent, observant, and highly analytical, Lisa often notices details that others overlook. Her insight proves invaluable in helping Shaman's team uncover hidden truths and understand the intentions of both friends and enemies.
The Almighty is a mysterious and powerful force operating behind many of the events in the Alice series. It is responsible for ordering Matilda to begin the hunt for Alice, setting the story in motion. Throughout the series, characters struggle to understand who—or what—is manipulating events from the shadows. The truth is not revealed until the final chapter of Alice and Agapogo.
