Book 1 Theme - Who am I?

Verse 1

Yesterday the map was clear,
Home was warm and love was near.
Bella, Lola held my hand,
Safe within this quiet land.
Then a Cricket broke the silence,
Spoke of shadows, spoke of violence:
“Roots you know are not your own,
You were raised, but not alone.”

Chorus

Who am I? Where do I start?
Why do witches hunt my heart?
Though the road is steep and long,
Bella, Lola keep me strong.
Let me tremble, let me cry,
I will never say goodbye.
“Come,” the Cricket softly said,
“To the Shaman, where truth is bred.”

Verse 2

Every mirror cracked in two,
Nothing left that felt so true.
Was my life a painted lie?
Who are they, and who am I?
No more time to hesitate,
Witches gather at the gate.
Left the world I used to know,
Following the Cricket’s glow.

Chorus

Who am I? Where do I start?
Why do witches hunt my heart?
Though the road is steep and long,
Bella, Lola keep me strong.
Let me tremble, let me cry,
I will never say goodbye.
“Come,” the Cricket softly said,
“To the Shaman, where truth is bred.”

Bridge

Courage isn’t knowing all,
It is standing when you fall.
Walking forward through the fear,
Even when the end’s not clear.

Chorus

Who am I? I’ll find the light,
Let the witches fight their fight.
Through the forest, through the night,
Bella, Lola hold me tight.
Let me tremble, let me cry,
I will never say goodbye.
With the Cricket as my guide,
I will find where truths abide.
